Delta Reign release date, presale prices and what is known
Delta Reign releases November 6, 2026. Its presale booster box was about $263 on TCGplayer on September 28, 2026, against $161.64 at earlier sets' retail price.
The short version
Delta Reign, an English Pokémon TCG expansion in the Mega Evolution series, is scheduled for release on November 6, 2026. That date is official, from The Pokémon Company's own announcement, and TCGplayer lists the same day. Prices in this guide are TCGplayer market values as of September 28, 2026. On that day the presale booster box was about $263, 62 percent above the $161.64 that 36 packs cost at $4.49, the Pokémon Center's pack price for earlier Scarlet & Violet and Mega Evolution sets, and the presale Elite Trainer Box was about $136 against $49.99, the standard Elite Trainer Box price reported by TCGplayer and the trade site ICv2. The Pokémon Company publishes no price list, so neither retail figure is an official Delta Reign price. A presale price is what resellers are being paid on TCGplayer before release, not a retail price. What is missing: the official pages we could read name four cards of the set and four Build & Battle Box promo cards, and there is no card list, no pull rate and no card price to say what a Delta Reign pack holds in card value.
What is officially announced
The Pokémon Company International announced the set on pokemon.com on August 20, 2026, and everything in this paragraph is official. The set arrives on November 6, 2026 with over 135 cards, including more than 20 Trainer cards and over 35 cards with special illustrations. Mega Rayquaza ex is the headline card, joined by Mega Golurk ex, Mega Malamar ex and Mega Golisopod ex. The expansion page repeats those figures. The announcement names no products, prices or Prerelease dates, and says more details are coming.
A second pokemon.com article, dated September 28, 2026, covers the Prerelease and is official too. It says that starting October 24, 2026, "select Play! Pokémon Stores will begin selling" the Delta Reign Build & Battle Box, "giving Trainers a chance to have a Prerelease battle" before the official release, and it points to the Event Locator for finding an event. Each Build & Battle Box holds four Delta Reign booster packs, a 40-card ready-to-play deck and one of four foil promo cards: Masquerain, Magmortar, Enamorus or Kommo-o. For anyone who cannot make a Prerelease, the article says the boxes "will be available for purchase when the expansion officially launches", which is November 6, 2026. An earlier version of this guide gave November 20, 2026 as the Build & Battle Box's retail date, from TCGplayer's listing and the hobby distributor PHD Games; the official article puts it at the launch instead. TCGplayer's listing gave November 20 on September 28, 2026.
A card preview feature for the set on pokemon.com and a media alert on The Pokémon Company's press site would not open for us, so this guide takes nothing from either.
The points below are reported by other sources, not read by us on a Pokémon Company page.
- Card count. The distributor listing says "over 140 cards" against the official "over 135". Serebii's set page showed the count as undetermined on September 28, 2026.
- Legendary Stadiums. Bulbapedia, PokeGuardian and Sports Illustrated describe Stadium cards played as a pair with one shared illustration.
- Japanese source. The Pokémon Company names no Japanese set. Bulbapedia states that Delta Reign includes cards from the Japanese Storm Emeralda expansion, and Sports Illustrated makes the same link. Our Storm Emeralda guide covers that set. Which cards carry over is not officially confirmed.
- Products. Beyond the Build & Battle Box, we found no official product list. PokeGuardian and the distributor describe a 36-pack booster display box, a 6-pack booster bundle, blisters and an Elite Trainer Box with 9 packs and a full-art Kyogre promo card. Screen Rant says 8 packs.
Our search on September 18, 2026 found no Pokémon Center product page for Delta Reign, so we have no official listing price for this set.
Presale prices against retail
On September 28, 2026 TCGplayer listed 16 Delta Reign products plus sealed cases. The live table below shows each presale market price, the retail price the site uses for that kind of product where it has one, and the premium over it. Those retail prices are the Pokémon Center's prices for earlier sets and the reported standard Elite Trainer Box price, not official Delta Reign prices.
Presale prices are TCGplayer market prices, updated daily: what resellers are being paid, not what a store charges.Retail applies the Pokémon Center’s listed prices for recent sets, read Sep 18, 2026 ($4.49 a pack; $59.99 for its own Elite Trainer Box), and $49.99 for a standard Elite Trainer Box, the MSRP TCGplayer and ICv2 report. The Pokémon Company publishes no price list, so none of these is an announced price for this set; products without such a figure show a dash. This table records today’s prices and says nothing about where they go next.
The figures that follow are TCGplayer market prices on September 28, 2026, rounded.
- Booster box, 36 packs. Market price about $263, lowest listing about $252. Against $161.64, 36 packs at the $4.49 the Pokémon Center charged for earlier sets, the presale is 62 percent higher, roughly $101 more, or about $7.30 a pack against $4.49.
- Elite Trainer Box, 9 packs. About $136 against a suggested $49.99, a figure reported by TCGplayer and the trade site ICv2 that some chains exceed. That is 172 percent over, about $15.10 a pack.
- Booster bundle, 6 packs. About $81 against $26.94, six packs at $4.49: 199 percent over, about $13.40 a pack.
- Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box, 11 packs. About $600 against $59.99, the Pokémon Center's price for its own Elite Trainer Box of earlier sets: 900 percent over, about $55 a pack.
- Single packs. The sleeved booster pack has a market price near $33 and a lowest listing near $15, against $4.49 at retail for earlier sets.
We have no retail price to compare for the two four-pack art bundles (about $76, or about $60 sleeved), the Seel 3-pack blister (about $49), the Spitzee single-pack blister (about $33) or the Build & Battle Box (no market price, lowest listing near $78). The 18-pack half booster box, two premium checklane blisters and two Target exclusive blisters had no price on September 28, 2026.
Per pack at September 28, 2026 market prices, the booster box is lowest at about $7.30, and every other priced product is above $13.
How that compares with sets already out
The same retail prices apply to sets already out. Each line gives the booster box, Elite Trainer Box and booster bundle, in that order, with the percentage over retail in brackets, at TCGplayer market prices on September 28, 2026.
- Pitch Black (July 17, 2026): about $189 (17 percent), $74 (49 percent) and $41 (53 percent).
- Chaos Rising (May 22, 2026): about $191 (18 percent), $71 (42 percent) and $37 (39 percent).
- Perfect Order (March 27, 2026): about $176 (9 percent), $71 (43 percent) and $40 (47 percent).
- Phantasmal Flames (November 14, 2025): about $389 (140 percent), $153 (207 percent) and $87 (223 percent).
- 30th Celebration (September 16, 2026), a special set with no booster box: Elite Trainer Box about $163 (226 percent), bundle about $108 (303 percent).
- Ascended Heroes (January 30, 2026), also without a box: Elite Trainer Box about $152 (204 percent), bundle about $85 (214 percent).
At 62 percent over retail, the Delta Reign presale box sits above the booster boxes of Pitch Black, Chaos Rising and Perfect Order (9 to 18 percent) and below the Phantasmal Flames box (140 percent). Its Elite Trainer Box, at 172 percent, is above those of the same three sets (42 to 49 percent) and below those of Phantasmal Flames, Ascended Heroes and 30th Celebration. This describes the market on September 28, 2026 only and says nothing about where the price of Delta Reign goes.
The live board below lists the eight booster boxes with the highest ratio of raw card value to sealed price on the Sealed EV board, and updates daily. Delta Reign is not on it, because it has no cards to value.
| Product | Market | Ratio |

How to try for retail
For earlier Scarlet & Violet and Mega Evolution sets, retail has meant $4.49 a pack at the Pokémon Center: $161.64 for the box, $26.94 for the bundle and $59.99 for its exclusive 11-pack Elite Trainer Box. The standard Elite Trainer Box has a reported suggested price of $49.99, and chains set their own prices. None of these is an official Delta Reign price.
- Pokémon Center. Purchase limits are printed on each product page. On September 18, 2026 the Pitch Black booster box showed a limit of 1, and the bundle and Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box a limit of 2. We found no Delta Reign page there to read a limit from. Pokémon Center support says a preorder is charged when it ships and takes only credit or debit cards.
- Local game stores. Stores receive an allocation from distributors, so ask how many units yours is getting and how its preorders work. The official Prerelease article says select Play! Pokémon Stores sell the Build & Battle Box from October 24, 2026. TCGplayer notes that a Prerelease is where you may find a Build & Battle Box closer to its suggested price.
- Big chains. Limits vary by retailer and often by store, and a chain's website can host marketplace sellers, so check who the seller is.
Pokémon Center support says it has no information on when or if an out of stock item returns, and this site does not track stock or restocks.
Our MSRP guide covers the queue, preorder rules and a release day checklist, where to buy Pokémon cards in stores covers the store types, and the bots and scalping explainer covers why limits exist. The upcoming releases page lists presale products by TCGplayer's listed release date, with presale market prices, so while TCGplayer lists November 20 for the Build & Battle Box, that page groups it there rather than under the official launch.
What the site will show after release
Until the card database adds the set, the Delta Reign set page is a placeholder built from TCGplayer's product listings. It has no card list, no pull rates and no expected value, and this guide does not estimate any of them.
After release, once the card database adds the set, the site will show the card list with a TCGplayer market price and price history for each card. The Pokémon Company publishes no odds. The site's pull rates come from one third-party source, the evolvault.com pull-rate calculator, which aggregates TCGplayer pack-opening datasets and community counts, and the site takes the midpoint of each range it lists. Those counts grow as packs are opened, so figures published soon after a release can rest on few packs: the source's 30th Celebration figures, collected at release, included a tier it calls an estimate from a single pull.
So the first expected value the site shows for Delta Reign may not rest on the set's own rates. Until published rates for the set are added to the site's data, the site values its packs with the Mega Evolution era average rates, provided the set prints at least half of the rarities in that table, and labels the result "era default": an estimate, not a measurement. An era average can be far off. For 30th Celebration it counted nothing for three kinds of card the set's packs hold, and valued a pack at less than a fifth of what the set's own rates gave when they were added. Published rates replace the estimate once the source lists the set and they are added to the site's data; for 30th Celebration that happened five days after its September 16, 2026 release. None of this is promised for a date.
The product pages already show the TCGplayer market price where there is one, its history and eBay search buttons (affiliate links).
How we got these numbers
Presale and comparison prices are TCGplayer market prices from the daily feed, read on September 28, 2026 and rounded. Lowest listings are asking prices, not sales. A premium is the market price minus retail, divided by retail.
Pokémon Center figures are its listing prices for Scarlet & Violet and Mega Evolution products, checked on September 18, 2026. The Pokémon Company publishes no price list, so these are earlier sets' prices applied to Delta Reign. A check specific to this set: the PHD Games listing gives the 36-pack display an MSRP of $161.64, and its case prices work out to $49.99 per Elite Trainer Box and $26.94 per bundle. Those are a distributor's figures, not official prices.
Release facts are called official only where we read them on pokemon.com, and the rest is attributed by name. This is information, not financial advice or a forecast, and the pricing method is on the methodology page.
What changes and what stays
The dated figures are every price in this guide and everything computed from one: the presale market prices and lowest listings of September 28, 2026, the premiums over retail, the prices per pack and the comparisons with earlier sets. From the November 6, 2026 release, the presale prices become ordinary market prices for a set on sale. The live presale table above and each product page show the day's values, and the EV board shows the day's ratios.
The lasting facts are the November 6, 2026 release date, the official count of over 135 cards, the four named Mega Pokémon ex, and the Build & Battle Box's contents and its October 24 start at select Play! Pokémon Stores. The retail comparisons would change if The Pokémon Company or the Pokémon Center published Delta Reign prices. The release settles the card list and the printed card count once the card database adds the set, and an official product list would settle the products and pack counts that other sources describe. An expected value would come first from the era average unless the set's own pull rates reached the site before its cards did, and the set's own rates would replace that estimate once the site's source publishes counts for the set and they are added.
Bottom line
Delta Reign releases on November 6, 2026, and select Play! Pokémon Stores sell its Build & Battle Box from October 24. On September 28, 2026 its presale booster box was about $263 on TCGplayer, 62 percent over $161.64, and its Elite Trainer Box about $136, 172 percent over $49.99. Neither is an official Delta Reign price: the $161.64 is 36 packs at the Pokémon Center's pack price for earlier sets, and the $49.99 is a reported suggested price. Until the card database adds the set, the site has no card list, pull rate or expected value for it, and the first expected value it shows will be an era-default estimate unless the set's own pull rates reach the site first.
