Charizard cards in English: prices from cheapest to dearest
The catalog lists 107 English cards with Charizard's Pokédex number. On October 4, 2026, the median was $88.16 and two were under $5, both Sword & Shield cards.
Every English card the catalog lists with Charizard's Pokédex number comes to 107 cards, from Base, released in January 1999, to the 30th Celebration: Classic Collection of September 2026. Prices in this guide are TCGplayer market prices as of October 4, 2026, and 101 of the 107 cards have one. The cheapest is Charizard #10 from Pokémon GO at $3.18, priced at its Holofoil printing, with the lowest TCGplayer listing at $2.21. The dearest is Charizard #146 from Skyridge at $2,999.99, priced at its Reverse Holofoil printing, and that figure has one listing price behind it: its lowest and its highest TCGplayer listing were both $3,500.
Across the 101 priced cards, the median card is about $88.16. One of every priced card comes to about $20,176. That sum is a floor, because it leaves out the six cards with no market price and the six whose prices are thin markets, and because the list does not reach the TCGplayer-only printings such as Base Set (Shadowless). The card in the middle is Dark Charizard #21 from Team Rocket, priced at its Unlimited printing with the lowest listing at $54.90. Only two cards are under $5, while 40 of the 95 firm prices, the ones that are not thin, are $100 or more.
What the list covers
The list follows one rule, printed under the live table below: English cards whose Pokémon is Charizard (Pokédex #6), TAG TEAM pairs included, by the Pokédex numbers the card database gives each card. Every card carrying Pokédex #6 is in, whatever its name: Dark Charizard, Shining and Radiant Charizard, M Charizard-EX, Mega Charizard X ex and Y ex and two TAG TEAM pairs, 22 card names in all. No Japanese printing is mixed in.
Six of the 107 have no market price in the data: Charizard ★ δ #100 from Dragon Frontiers, Charizard G LV.X #DP45 from the DP Black Star Promos, three Charizard-EX promos from the XY Black Star Promos (#XY17, #XY29 and #XY121) and Charizard #RC5 from Generations. They count among the 107 but add nothing to the median or the total.
What the rule cannot see are the cards the catalog takes from TCGplayer alone, such as Base Set (Shadowless), jumbo cards and prize-pack printings: the card database stores no Pokédex number for them. Of 7,117 TCGplayer-only cards, 99 have Charizard in the name. The dearest is the Charizard filed under Base Set (Shadowless) at $2,257.87, more than any priced card in the list except Skyridge #146, followed by a Charizard VMAX under Prize Pack Series Cards at $1,600. One entry, a Charizard G LV.X numbered DP45 under Diamond and Pearl Promos at $430.64, shares a number with the catalog's unpriced DP45; the data does not show whether they are one card. The data gives these three TCGplayer-only entries a market price only, with no printing or listing figures, so this guide cannot tell whether any of them is a thin market.
The ten dearest
These are the ten highest firm prices.
| Card | Set (released) | Rarity | Printing | Market | Lowest listing |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Charizard #146 | Skyridge (2003) | Rare Secret | Reverse Holofoil | $2,999.99 | $3,500 (one listing price) |
| M Charizard-EX #108 | Flashfire (2014) | Rare Secret | Holofoil | $1,501.23 | $468.95 |
| Charizard #136 | Plasma Storm (2013) | Rare Secret | Holofoil | $1,150 | $1,500 |
| Charizard δ #4 | Crystal Guardians (2006) | Rare Holo | Holofoil | $939.50 | $828.99 |
| Charizard #4 | Base (1999) | Rare Holo | Holofoil | $910.75 | $499.99 |
| Charizard #3 | Legendary Collection (2002) | Rare Holo | Holofoil | $899.99 | $297.19 |
| Charizard-GX #150 | Burning Shadows (2017) | Rare Rainbow | Holofoil | $806.10 | $490.10 |
| Charizard-GX #SV49 | Hidden Fates Shiny Vault (2019) | Rare Shiny GX | Holofoil | $768.10 | $550 |
| Charizard #103 | Stormfront (2008) | Rare Secret | Holofoil | $737.50 | $279.99 |
| Mega Charizard X ex #125 | Phantasmal Flames (2025) | Special Illustration Rare | Holofoil | $659.80 | $596 |
Together the ten add up to $11,372.96, about 56 percent of the $20,176 sum of firm prices, and Skyridge #146 alone is about 15 percent of it.
Skyridge #146 is a Rare Secret, a rarity the site values at its Holofoil printing first, then Normal, then Reverse Holofoil; neither of the first two had a market price. Its one listing price, $3,500, is about 1.17 times the market figure, inside the 1.5 times limit that would make it a thin market, so the live table names it as the dearest and prints the listing price beside it. TCGplayer reports listings only as summary figures, so one price at both ends of the range may be one copy or several.
The next two sit apart from their listings in opposite directions. M Charizard-EX #108 from Flashfire is $1,501.23 (Holofoil), but its lowest listing was $468.95, under a third of that. Charizard #136 from Plasma Storm is $1,150 (Holofoil), with the lowest listing at $1,500, about 1.3 times the market and inside the 1.5 times limit. TCGplayer's market price comes from completed sales, not listings (how it compares with eBay sold prices).
Six thin-market prices
A price is a thin market when no TCGplayer listing sits near it (nothing listed, or a lowest listing more than 1.5 times the market) or when it carries an open price flag. One old sale can set such a figure. All six here fail on distance, and every one comes from a series before XY. The live table never names one as the cheapest or the dearest, and none of them is in the sum of firm prices. They do count in the median, as they do in the live table's, and all six sit above it. Without them, the 95 firm prices have a median of $69.48.
| Card | Set (released) | Printing | Market | Lowest listing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Shining Charizard #107 | Neo Destiny (2002) | Unlimited Holofoil | $1,700.99 | $4,499.98 |
| Charizard ex #105 | FireRed & LeafGreen (2004) | Holofoil | $500 | $1,500 |
| Charizard #100 | Dragon (2003) | Holofoil | $489.99 | $900 |
| Charizard #6 | Expedition Base Set (2002) | Holofoil | $287.50 | $700 |
| Charizard #6 | Power Keepers (2007) | Holofoil | $176.65 | $291.99 |
| Charizard #3 | Secret Wonders (2007) | Holofoil | $137.72 | $292.07 |
Shining Charizard #107 from Neo Destiny has a market price of $1,700.99 at its Unlimited Holofoil printing, which would place it second, but its lowest listing was $4,499.98, so the table leaves it out of the dearest.
Series by series
The table follows the card database's series. "Other" is the catalog's catch-all series rather than an era, and in this list it has a single card.
| Series | Charizard cards released | Cards (priced) | Firm prices add up to | Dearest firm price | Printing, lowest listing |

| Sword & Shield | 2019 to 2023 | 25 (25) | $1,765.15 | Charizard V #154, Brilliant Stars, $286.70 | Holofoil, $180.28 |
| Scarlet & Violet | 2023 to 2024 | 12 (12) | $856.89 | Charizard ex #199, 151, $342.73 | Holofoil, $297.67 |
| Mega Evolution | 2025 to 2026 | 7 (7) | $1,400.81 | Mega Charizard X ex #125, Phantasmal Flames, $659.80 | Holofoil, $596 |
The nine series from Base to Black & White account for 25 of the 107 cards and all six thin-market prices, and their 17 firm prices add up to $10,278.70. The five from XY to Mega Evolution have the other 82 cards, 78 of them priced, and those 78 add up to $9,897.67.
Sword & Shield has the most cards of any series, 25, every one priced, and they add up to $1,765.15, less than the four cards of the Base series at $1,869.57. Its dearest card, Charizard V #154 from Brilliant Stars at $286.70 (Holofoil, lowest listing $180.28), is the lowest top price of any series in the table.
Four sets in the list from Scarlet & Violet and Mega Evolution have a Charizard Special Illustration Rare: Obsidian Flames, 151, Paldean Fates and Phantasmal Flames. In each, that card is the set's dearest Charizard and the Double Rare its cheapest. Phantasmal Flames shows the range inside one set: Mega Charizard X ex #13, the Double Rare, is $5.16 (Holofoil, lowest listing $3.02), the Special Illustration Rare #125 is $659.80 (Holofoil, lowest listing $596), and the Mega Hyper Rare #130 sits between them at $230.39 (Holofoil, lowest listing $203.50).
The cheapest
Thirteen cards are under $10, all from Sun & Moon or later series.
| Card | Set (released) | Rarity | Printing | Market | Lowest listing |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Charizard #10 | Pokémon GO (2022) | Rare Holo | Holofoil | $3.18 | $2.21 |
| Charizard #25 | Vivid Voltage (2020) | Rare | Normal | $3.56 | $2 |
| Charizard ex #54 | Paldean Fates (2024) | Double Rare | Holofoil | $5.09 | $3.69 |
| Mega Charizard X ex #13 | Phantasmal Flames (2025) | Double Rare | Holofoil | $5.16 | $3.02 |
| Mega Charizard Y ex #22 | Ascended Heroes (2026) | Double Rare | Holofoil | $5.56 | $4.19 |
| Charizard ex #125 | Obsidian Flames (2023) | Double Rare | Holofoil | $5.59 | $3.84 |
| Charizard ex #161 | Scarlet & Violet Black Star Promos | Promo | Holofoil | $6.19 | $4.99 |
| Lance's Charizard V #SWSH133 | SWSH Black Star Promos | Promo | Holofoil | $6.92 | $4.50 |
| Charizard V #18 | Crown Zenith (2023) | Rare Holo V | Holofoil | $7.01 | $5 |
| Charizard V #17 | Brilliant Stars (2022) | Rare Holo V | Holofoil | $7.81 | $5 |
| Charizard ex #6 | 151 (2023) | Double Rare | Holofoil | $8.76 | $5.99 |
| Charizard V #19 | Darkness Ablaze (2020) | Rare Holo V | Holofoil | $9.21 | $6 |
| Charizard-GX #9 | Hidden Fates (2019) | Rare Holo GX | Holofoil | $9.73 | $6.95 |
The two under $5 are both from Sword & Shield sets, Pokémon GO (July 2022) and Vivid Voltage (November 2020). The Vivid Voltage card is a Rare, so the site prices its regular Normal printing, with the lowest listing at $2.
Just above $5 come four Double Rares, between $5.09 and $5.59 at their Holofoil printings, with lowest listings from $3.02 to $4.19. The fifth, Charizard ex #6 from 151, is $8.76 (Holofoil, lowest listing $5.99), so every Double Rare in the list is under $9. The 13 cards under $10 add up to $83.77, less than the $88.16 median card on its own.
Four plain Charizards numbered 4
Four cards in the list carry the plain name Charizard and the number 4, all credited to Mitsuhiro Arita in the card data.
| Card | Set (released) | Printing | Market | Lowest listing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Charizard #4 | Base (January 1999) | Holofoil | $910.75 | $499.99 |
| Charizard #4 | Base Set 2 (February 2000) | Holofoil | $488.97 | $275 |
| Charizard #4 | 30th Celebration: Classic Collection (September 2026) | Holofoil | $161.15 | $150 |
| Charizard #4 | Celebrations: Classic Collection (October 2021) | Holofoil | $150.72 | $127 |
Across the four sets the same name and number range about six times in price, from $150.72 for the Celebrations: Classic Collection card to $910.75 for the Base card, both at their Holofoil printings, with lowest listings of $127 and $499.99. The Base Set (Shadowless) Charizard is TCGplayer-only and outside the list.
TAG TEAM cards
The rule takes in TAG TEAM cards, which the card database gives two Pokédex numbers. Nine are here: five Reshiram & Charizard-GX and four Charizard & Braixen-GX, from Unbroken Bonds, Cosmic Eclipse and the SM Black Star Promos. They run from Charizard & Braixen-GX #22 from Cosmic Eclipse at $40.05 (Holofoil, lowest listing $29.47) to Reshiram & Charizard-GX #217 from Unbroken Bonds at $234.64 (Holofoil, lowest listing $225). The nine add up to $984.86, just under 5 percent of the sum of firm prices.
Prices, condition and odds
Every price here is a raw, ungraded, Near Mint TCGplayer market price; graded copies are a separate market, covered in raw vs graded. The site calls an eBay listing below market only when its landed price, item plus shipping, is at least 12 percent under the market price adjusted for condition (methodology). Pull rates from published pack-opening counts, for many English sets from Vivid Voltage (November 2020) on, are on pull rates, sealed product value on sealed EV. Other Pokémon are compared in a guide dated September 28, 2026, whose Charizard figures differ from this guide's: it uses that day's prices and counts every priced card, thin-market prices included.
The live table
The table below updates daily. It shows the 30 dearest and the 30 cheapest, sets the thin-market prices apart and gives totals for all 107; each row has an eBay search for raw copies, capped at 12 percent under market where a cap applies. Every card is listed on the Charizard page.
107 cards, 101 with a TCGplayer market price. Median $88.16; 2 under $5. Cheapest: Charizard #10 (Pokémon GO) at $3.18. Dearest: Charizard #146 (Skyridge) at $3,000 (one TCGplayer listing price, $3,500). One of each priced card comes to $20,176, a floor: it leaves out 6 thin-market prices (marked below) and 6 cards with no price.

Showing 66 of 107 cards: the 30 dearest and the 30 cheapest, and the thin-market prices. The totals above count all 107. Every card is listed on the Charizard page.
Rule: English cards whose Pokémon is Charizard (Pokédex #6), TAG TEAM pairs included, by the Pokédex numbers the card database gives each card.
Market is the TCGplayer market price the card’s own page shows, updated daily. “Thin market” marks a price with no TCGplayer listing near it (none listed, or the lowest more than 1.5 times the market) or with an open price flag: one old sale can set such a number, so it is passed over for the cheapest and the dearest card and left out of the one-of-each total. Beside a dearest card whose lowest and highest TCGplayer listing are the same, the block prints that one listing price. Each eBay button searches raw copies of that card, Buy It Now from US sellers, lowest price first, capped 12% under market where the button names a price.
Some cards come only from TCGplayer's catalog (jumbo cards, prize-pack and World Championship deck printings and the Shadowless Base Set among them). The catalog stores no Pokédex number for them, so they are not in this list.
What changes and what stays
The dated figures are every price and everything worked out from prices: the medians, the sums, the dearest and cheapest cards, the lowest listings, the one listing price beside Skyridge #146 and the thin-market marks. They move with each daily TCGplayer update, and the live table above shows each day's values.
The lasting facts are the rule itself, which changes only if the site edits the theme's definition; the 107 cards it covers, with their sets, numbers, rarities and release dates; the order in which the site picks one printing per card; and which Charizard printings are TCGplayer-only. The list grows when an English set prints another Charizard and the catalog adds it. A TCGplayer-only printing joins only if the card database gives it a Pokédex number, and the printing behind a price changes if a preferred printing gains a market price, as a Holofoil or Normal price for Skyridge #146 would, or if the site changes its price rule.
Bottom line
The catalog's English Charizard list is 107 cards, 101 of them priced, with two under $5 and half of the priced cards at $88.16 or more. Its top carries caveats: the dearest card has a single listing price behind it, six older cards have thin-market prices, and the dearest TCGplayer-only Charizard, Base Set (Shadowless), is outside the list. The 17 firm prices from Base to Black & White add up to slightly more than the 78 priced cards from XY on, $10,278.70 against $9,897.67, while all 13 cards under $10 come from Sun & Moon or later.
