Every figure here comes from TCGplayer market prices as of October 4, 2026, TCGplayer's listing prices that day and the catalog's card list that day. The catalog lists 213 English cards with Pikachu's Pokédex number, from the Base set (1999) to 30th Celebration (September 2026), and 196 of them have a market price. Of those 196, 72 are under $5 and 35 are under $1. The cheapest is Pikachu #62 from Paldea Evolved at $0.31, priced at its Normal printing, with the lowest TCGplayer listing at $0.01. The dearest card with a firm price, one that is not a thin market (explained below), is a promo: Pikachu with Grey Felt Hat #85 from the Scarlet & Violet Black Star Promos, at $1,015.89 for its Normal printing, with the lowest listing at $900.

Across the priced cards, the median card is about $12.20. One of every priced card comes to about $10,676. That total is a floor, because it leaves out the 17 cards with no market price and two thin-market prices, both described below. Of the 65 cards the catalog files under the Promo rarity, the 52 with a price have a median price of $31.86, and only three of them are under $5; of the other 148 cards, the 144 with a price have a median price of $6.28, and 69 of them are under $5.

What the list counts and what it leaves out

The list follows one rule: English cards whose Pokémon is Pikachu (Pokédex #25), TAG TEAM pairs included, by the Pokédex numbers the card database gives each card, so Pikachu & Zekrom-GX is in it six times. Each card counts at one printing, the one its card page prices, named beside every price here. Every price is a raw, ungraded Near Mint market price; graded copies are a separate market, covered in the raw vs graded guide. Japanese and Chinese printings are not part of the list.

The 7,117 English cards the catalog takes from TCGplayer alone, among them jumbo cards, prize-pack and World Championship deck printings and the Shadowless Base Set, carry no Pokédex number in the card database, so none is in this list; 274 of them have names that mention Pikachu. The dearest of those by market price is filed as "Mega Tokyo's Pikachu - 98/XY-P" under XY Promos. Its price is not quoted here: its number is not in the form the list's XY promos carry (XY84 to XY202), the figures behind this guide include no listing price for it, and a name match is not a check of the card.

Seventeen cards in the list have no market price: every Pikachu promo in the Nintendo, DP, HGSS, BW and XY Black Star Promo sets (12 cards), Pikachu ex #106 from the Scarlet & Violet promos, Pikachu #6 from EX Trainer Kit Latios, Pikachu #RC7 from Legendary Treasures, Pikachu #RC29 from Generations and Pikachu on the Ball from the Pokémon Futsal Collection. They add nothing to any total. Three of the eight dearest TCGplayer-only names carry the numbers of unpriced cards in this list: "Pikachu EX - XY124", "Pikachu - DP16" and "Pikachu (Delta Species) - 035 (Value Pack)"; the data cannot show they are the same cards, so none of them is priced or counted here.

Two prices are thin markets. A price with no TCGplayer listing near it (none listed, or the lowest more than 1.5 times the market), or with an open price flag, can rest on one old sale; every other priced card has what this guide calls a firm price. Pikachu ★ #104 from Holon Phantoms has a market price of $1,899.99 for its Holofoil printing, but its lowest and highest TCGplayer listings were the same, $6,997.84, so it had one listing price, about 3.7 times the market. The table passes over it for the dearest card and no total here includes it. Pikachu #6 from McDonald's Collection 2016 is the other: $32.99 for its Holofoil printing, with the lowest listing at $69.99, about 2.1 times the market. Medians and counts under $5 in this guide take in every priced card, as the table's own median does; sums use firm prices only.

The live table

The table below shows the 30 dearest and the 30 cheapest cards, with the thin-market prices apart, each with an eBay search for raw copies; its totals line counts all 213, and the Pikachu page lists every card.

Live

213 cards, 196 with a TCGplayer market price. Median $12.20; 72 under $5. Cheapest: Pikachu #62 (Paldea Evolved) at $0.31. Dearest, passing over 1 thin-market price: Pikachu with Grey Felt Hat #85 (Scarlet & Violet Black Star Promos) at $1,016. One of each priced card comes to $10,676, a floor: it leaves out 2 thin-market prices (marked below) and 17 cards with no price.

Showing 62 of 213 cards: the 30 dearest and the 30 cheapest, and the thin-market prices. The totals above count all 213. Every card is listed on the Pikachu page.

Rule: English cards whose Pokémon is Pikachu (Pokédex #25), TAG TEAM pairs included, by the Pokédex numbers the card database gives each card.

Market is the TCGplayer market price the card’s own page shows, updated daily. “Thin market” marks a price with no TCGplayer listing near it (none listed, or the lowest more than 1.5 times the market) or with an open price flag: one old sale can set such a number, so it is passed over for the cheapest and the dearest card and left out of the one-of-each total. Beside a dearest card whose lowest and highest TCGplayer listing are the same, the block prints that one listing price. Each eBay button searches raw copies of that card, Buy It Now from US sellers, lowest price first, capped 12% under market where the button names a price.

Some cards come only from TCGplayer's catalog (jumbo cards, prize-pack and World Championship deck printings and the Shadowless Base Set among them). The catalog stores no Pokédex number for them, so they are not in this list.

Promos and set cards

The catalog files its Pikachu promos in nine Black Star Promo sets, and every priced one is in four of them.

All promos 65 52 3 $3,998.14

The 52 priced promos are about 27 percent of the 194 cards with a firm price and make up about 37 percent of the $10,676 total. The gap between promos and the other cards is widest at the bottom of the price range and narrow at $100 or more. Eight of the 52 priced promos are at $100 or more, about 15 percent, against 17 of the 142 other firm prices, about 12 percent. Under $5 it is 3 promos against 69 other cards.

The three promos under $5 are Pikachu V cards from the Sword & Shield promos, each at its Holofoil printing: #SWSH061 at $2.25 (lowest listing $0.99), #SWSH198 at $3.09 (lowest $1.85) and #SWSH285 at $4.80 (lowest $3).

Outside the promo sets, the catalog gives no rarity to 11 cards: the eight McDonald's Collection Pikachu cards from 2014 to 2022, Pikachu #7 from Pokémon Rumble, Pikachu on the Ball and Pikachu #6 from EX Trainer Kit Latios. None of the nine with a price is under $5.

The dearest firm prices

These are the ten dearest cards with a firm price.

Pikachu & Zekrom-GX #184 Team Up Rare Rainbow Holofoil $248.01 $230.00

Three of the ten are promos, six carry an expansion's Special Illustration Rare, Rare Secret or Rare Rainbow rarity, and the Pokémon Rumble card has no rarity in the catalog. Together the ten add up to $5,202.33, about 49 percent of the $10,676 total.

Two of the next five had no TCGplayer listing at or below their market price. Pikachu δ #93 from Legend Maker is $216.36 for its Holofoil printing, with the lowest listing at $233.99, and Pikachu #84 from Skyridge, the dearest Common in the list, is $196.33 for its Normal printing, with the lowest listing at $226.80. Each lowest listing is under 1.5 times the market, so neither is a thin market.

How many are under $5

Seventy-two of the 196 priced cards are under $5, and together they add up to $124.42, about 1 percent of the $10,676 total. All of them fall in six catalog rarities.

Catalog rarity Under $5 Priced cards of that rarity
Pikachu Rare 30 30
Common 27 55
Double Rare 6 6
Rare Holo V 4 5

The 30 Pikachu Rares are the run #23 to #52 from 30th Celebration, all under $5 and 26 of them under $1, together $25.54. The dearest is Pikachu #40 at $2.58 for its Holofoil printing (lowest listing $1.49) and the cheapest Pikachu #24 at $0.58, also Holofoil (lowest listing $0.11). The 30th Celebration Pikachu guide lists all 30 with their illustrators.

The 26 Commons from sets released before 2010 have a median price of $13.88, and only two are under $5: Pikachu #60 from Jungle at $4.06 for its Unlimited printing (lowest listing $0.99) and Pikachu #87 from Base Set 2 at $3.11 for its Normal printing (lowest listing $0.95). The 29 from 2010 on have a median price of $1.52, and 25 of them are under $5. The eight cheapest cards in the list are Commons from 2021 to 2026 sets; the three cheapest, Pikachu #62 from Paldea Evolved, Pikachu #25 from 151 and Pikachu #18 from Paldean Fates, are $0.31, $0.32 and $0.32 at their Normal printings, each with a lowest listing of $0.01.

By the catalog's series

The table follows the catalog's series. NP is the series it gives the two Nintendo Black Star Promos cards, both unpriced. "Other" is its catch-all series, not an era: here it covers Legendary Collection, Pokémon Rumble, the McDonald's Collections and the Pokémon Futsal Collection, 2002 to 2022.

The EX and Other figures leave out one thin-market price each, Pikachu ★ and the 2016 McDonald's card. Seventy of the 72 cards under $5 come from Black & White, XY, Sun & Moon, Sword & Shield, Scarlet & Violet and Mega Evolution. Sun & Moon has the largest figure, $1,959.26, and its 24 promos are $1,222.47 of it, about 62 percent. Mega Evolution has the most cards under $5, 34 of its 40, while its two Ascended Heroes Special Illustration Rares are $1,228.84 of its $1,433.96, about 86 percent.

Reading a price in the table

Each row's eBay button opens eBay's own search for raw copies of that card, Buy It Now from US sellers, lowest price first, capped 12 percent under market on the item price where the button names a price. Shipping comes on top. An empty capped search means nothing was listed under that line when you looked; the card page's second button shows every price. The methodology page sets out the landed-price arithmetic. The buttons are affiliate links.

For cards from an expansion's rarity tiers, the pull-rate pages give the odds the site uses for each tier, as on Ascended Heroes and Surging Sparks, and the sealed EV board compares sealed prices with the expected value of the cards inside. The rarity guide explains the tiers, which Pokémon have the most valuable cards sets Pikachu beside other Pokémon, and what it costs to complete a set adds up whole sets.

What changes and what stays

The dated figures are every price, listing price, median, total, share and count here, which prices are thin markets, and every ranking built from them, all from the date in the opening; they move with each daily price update. The live table above shows the day's prices and totals; the tables in the text do not update.

The lasting facts are the rule, the card list and the catalog's labels. The list of 213 grows when a later set or promo prints Pikachu, or if the card database adds Pokédex numbers to TCGplayer-only cards. The rarities, series and promo sets change only if the card database changes them, the 1.5-times thin-market line only if the site changes its rule, and a card's priced printing when its preferred printing gains or loses a market price.

Bottom line

Of the 213 English cards the catalog lists with Pikachu's Pokédex number, 196 are priced, and one of each of the 194 with a firm price adds up to $10,676, a floor that is short of 17 unpriced cards and two thin markets. Promos and the other cards reach $100 at similar rates, but only 3 of 52 priced promos are under $5, against 69 of 144 other priced cards. The dearest firm price is Pikachu with Grey Felt Hat #85 at $1,015.89 (Normal printing, lowest listing $900). The 72 cards under $5, mostly 30th Celebration Pikachu Rares and Commons from 2010 on, come to about $124 together.
