The short version

The card catalog behind Pullnomics lists 46 English cards whose Pokémon is Umbreon, Pokédex #197, two Umbreon & Darkrai-GX TAG TEAM cards among them, and 41 of the 46 have a market price. Prices in this guide are TCGplayer market prices as of October 4, 2026. The dearest firm price (one that is not a thin market, explained below) is Umbreon VMAX #215 from Evolving Skies, an alternate-art VMAX: $2,292.50 for its Holofoil printing, with the lowest TCGplayer listing at $1,804.01. The cheapest are two cards at 40 cents: Umbreon #130 from Obsidian Flames, priced at its Normal printing with the lowest listing at one cent, and Umbreon #59 from Prismatic Evolutions, Holofoil, lowest listing 5 cents.

Of the 41 priced cards, four are under $5 and seven under $10, while 18, one thin-market price among them, are $100 or more. Across all 41, the median card is about $83.11. One of every priced card comes to about $8,781. That total is a floor: five cards have no market price, and one price is a thin market, which the total leaves out; both are explained below.

Rule: English cards whose Pokémon is Umbreon (Pokédex #197), TAG TEAM pairs included, by the Pokédex numbers the card database gives each card.

Market is the TCGplayer market price the card’s own page shows, updated daily. “Thin market” marks a price with no TCGplayer listing near it (none listed, or the lowest more than 1.5 times the market) or with an open price flag: one old sale can set such a number, so it is passed over for the cheapest and the dearest card and left out of the one-of-each total. Beside a dearest card whose lowest and highest TCGplayer listing are the same, the block prints that one listing price. Each eBay button searches raw copies of that card, Buy It Now from US sellers, lowest price first, capped 12% under market where the button names a price.

Some cards come only from TCGplayer's catalog (jumbo cards, prize-pack and World Championship deck printings and the Shadowless Base Set among them). The catalog stores no Pokédex number for them, so they are not in this list.

Each card's eBay button searches raw copies, Buy It Now from US sellers, lowest price plus shipping first. From $5 up the search is capped 12 percent under market, before shipping, unless the market price is more than 10 percent above every TCGplayer listing; under $5, or with no price, it has no cap. Every price is for a raw, ungraded Near Mint copy. Graded copies are a separate market (raw vs graded), and the methodology sets out how a listing is measured against market.

What the list is, and what it leaves out

The list follows one rule, printed under the table: English cards whose Pokémon is Umbreon (Pokédex #197), TAG TEAM pairs included, by the Pokédex numbers the card database gives each card. That is why Umbreon & Darkrai-GX #125 from Unified Minds is in, at $98.24 for its Holofoil printing with the lowest listing at $76.26, and so is the SM Black Star promo Umbreon & Darkrai-GX SM241, at $235.26, Holofoil, lowest listing $155.75. Each card carries one price, the one its own card page shows, for the printing this guide names beside it.

It is not every Umbreon card ever printed. Cards the catalog takes from TCGplayer alone carry no Pokédex number in the card database, so the rule cannot see them. Of 7,117 such English cards, 24 have names that mention Umbreon. A name match is not a check of the card, but it shows what is missing: the dearest by name is an Umbreon VMAX filed under Prize Pack Series Cards at $295.37 (the data gives no printing or lowest listing for cards outside the rule), then "Umbreon - BW93" under Black and White Promos and "Umbreon (Regional Championships)", with a World Championship deck printing further down. The list's own BW Black Star promo BW93 has no market price; a separate TCGplayer-only entry, "Umbreon - BW93", carries one, but matching names do not show that the two are one card.

Five cards in the list have no market price: Umbreon #H30 from Skyridge, Umbreon ex #112 from Unseen Forces, Umbreon ★ #17 from POP Series 5, and the Black Star promos BW93 and XY96. The table shows them without a price, and no price figure in this guide includes them.

One price is a thin market, the kind one old sale can set. Umbreon #H29 from Aquapolis, a Rare Holo priced at its Holofoil printing, has a market price of $1,252.62, but its lowest listing was $2,500, about twice the market price. The table tags it "thin market" and keeps it out of the one-of-each total. It ranks third of the 41 priced cards, below #215 and Umbreon ex #161, so it changes neither the cheapest nor the dearest card. The median and the count of cards under $5 take every priced card, this one included.

Two other older cards have a lowest listing above their market price, though not far enough above to count as thin. Umbreon #13 from Neo Discovery is priced at its Unlimited Holofoil printing at $752.74, with the lowest listing at $845, and Umbreon #22 from Call of Legends is $198.26 for its Holofoil printing against a lowest listing of $250. No priced card in the list has a single TCGplayer listing price: for each one, the lowest and highest listings differ.

The two Evolving Skies alternate arts

Six of the 46 cards come from Evolving Skies (August 2021), and they run from $7.47 to $2,292.50. Two of them are alternate arts. The card database files Umbreon VMAX #215 under Rare Rainbow, the same label as the rainbow Umbreon VMAX #214, and files Umbreon V #189 under Rare Ultra, beside the regular full-art Umbreon V #188. The site keeps its own checked list of the set's alternate-art cards, and #215 and #189 are on it.

Card Catalog rarity Illustrator Printing Market Lowest listing
Umbreon VMAX #215, alternate art Rare Rainbow Keiichiro Ito Holofoil $2,292.50 $1,804.01
Umbreon V #189, alternate art Rare Ultra Teeziro Holofoil $381.59 $335.00
Umbreon VMAX #214 Rare Rainbow Akira Egawa Holofoil $83.11 $69.99
Umbreon V #188 Rare Ultra 5ban Graphics Holofoil $56.90 $45.19
Umbreon VMAX #95 Rare Holo VMAX Akira Egawa Holofoil $27.22 $17.00
Umbreon V #94 Rare Holo V 5ban Graphics Holofoil $7.47 $4.40

Under one name and one rarity label, the prices sit far apart: #215 is about 28 times #214, and #189 about 6.7 times #188. Within each pair the illustrator credits differ as well, as the table shows.

Umbreon VMAX #215 alone is about 26 percent of the $8,781 total, and the six Evolving Skies cards together, about $2,849, are about 32 percent of it. The rainbow #214, at $83.11, sits exactly in the middle of the priced cards: it is the 21st of the 41 by price.

The Evolving Skies pull-rate page gives the alternate-art VMAX tier as 1 in 312 packs for six cards. The source gives one rate per tier, so every card in it is taken as equally likely, and one named card such as #215 averages 1 in 1,872 packs. The alternate-art V tier is 1 in 96 packs across 11 cards, which puts #189 at 1 in 1,056. These are pack-opening counts gathered by the site's source, not official odds.

The second dearest firm price is Umbreon ex #161, a Special Illustration Rare from Prismatic Evolutions (January 2025), at $1,326.66 for its Holofoil printing with the lowest listing at $1,149.98. Umbreon VMAX #215 is about 1.7 times that price. The Prismatic Evolutions pull-rate page gives the odds of its Special Illustration Rare tier, and of one named card in it. The same set holds Umbreon ex #60, a Double Rare at $7.87 (Holofoil, lowest listing $6.50), and the 40-cent #59, so one set runs from the cheapest price in the list to its second dearest.

The next three firm prices are all from 2001 to 2010: Neo Discovery #13 at $752.74, as above; Umbreon #86 from HS Undaunted, a Rare Prime at $575.30 for its Holofoil printing, whose lowest listing of $199.98 is about 35 percent of its market price; and Umbreon δ #17 from Delta Species, $515.13, Holofoil, lowest listing $473.50.

Every priced card from June 2001 to February 2011, Neo Discovery through Call of Legends, is $44.61 or more. That is 11 cards across five series, POP having none priced, and the cheapest of them is Umbreon #24 from Sandstorm (2003), a Rare at its Normal printing with the lowest listing at $33. In the E-Card row the dearest firm price is Umbreon #32 from Skyridge, $354.93 at its Normal printing with the lowest listing at $350; the thin-market Aquapolis #H29, at $1,252.62, is passed over there.

Prices under $20 begin with Black & White, at Dark Explorers in May 2012, where Umbreon #61 is $19.44 (Normal, lowest listing $9.50), and prices under $5 with Scarlet & Violet. Sword & Shield has the most cards, 11, and the widest spread in dollars, from $5.22 to $2,292.50. The two Mega Evolution cards, both from 30th Celebration, make the only series whose dearest card is under $5.

Which Pokémon have the most valuable cards ranks Umbreon against other species on prices from September 28, 2026, so its Umbreon figures differ from this list's. The rarity labels are explained in Pokémon card rarities, odds for every covered set are on the pull-rate index, and sealed expected value is on the box value board.

What changes and what stays

Every price, listing figure, multiple and share in this guide is dated and moves with the market: the median card, the one-of-each total, the 41 priced cards and the counts under $5, under $10 and at $100 or more, which cards are cheapest and dearest in the list and in each series, the gap between #215 and #214, and whether Aquapolis #H29 is still a thin market. The live table on this page shows the median, the one-of-each total, the cheapest and dearest card and every card's price and thin-market mark as they stand each day; the counts, shares and multiples follow from its rows, and each card's own page shows its lowest TCGplayer listing by printing.

The rule, the card list, the rarity labels, the illustrator credits and the release dates are lasting. The list grows when another English Umbreon card is printed and added to the catalog, or when the card database gives a TCGplayer-only printing a Pokédex number. The tier rates behind #215 and #189 come from published pack-opening counts and would change only if the source revised them.

Bottom line

The catalog lists 46 English Umbreon cards, 41 of them priced. One card carries about a quarter of the list's floor total: the Evolving Skies alternate-art Umbreon VMAX #215, $2,292.50 at its Holofoil printing (lowest listing $1,804.01), about 28 times the rainbow #214 that shares its name and rarity label. The four cards under $5 are all from 2023 on, and every priced card from 2001 to 2011 is $44.61 or more. Five cards have no price, the Aquapolis #H29 holo is a thin market, and TCGplayer-only printings such as the prize-pack Umbreon VMAX are outside the rule.
